THE GEORGE HULL CENTRE

10TH ANNIVERSARY LAUGH OUT LOUD

THE STORY

The 10th annual Laugh Out Loud fundraiser took place at The Carlu in the heart of downtown Toronto. It was a star-studded, hilarious evening that never lost sight of its main objective: to raise money and awareness for children, youth and families facing mental health issues.

Host, Jessica Holmes, had the packed theatre in stitches with a song medley, which included impeccable impersonations of Shakira, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea … not to mention her original song as Celine Dion.

Joining Jessica on stage was some of Canada’s premier talent, including the LOL improv team, starring David Pearce, Jennine Profetta and Pat McKenna; headliner Steve Patterson; and the one and only Steven Page, co-creator of the Barenaked Ladies, as the evening’s musical guest.

It was an honest and emotional evening and whether they were tears of empathy or those of joy, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
