ARTISTS FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE

APJ GALA

THE STORY

The Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) Gala is an annual fundraising event and is part of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This non-profit organization encourages peace and social justice around the world, with its primary focus on Haiti.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, this exclusive event was taken place at the Windsor Arms Hotel, where the first ever APJ Gala took place 10 years ago. The gala was hosted by Ben Stiller and Susan Sarandon, two celebrities who are fierce supporters of the program.

The evening commenced with New York based pop-artist Peter Tunney who created a live art red carpet installation. Throughout the gala, special tributes were made to outstanding supporters of the organization, including David and Kate Daniels, Property Brothers and Harry Belafonte. Performances also featured special guests including Fefe Dobson, Paul Beaubrun and Theo Tams.

The gala raised $1.4 million dollars to support and advance peace and social justice in communities of need.

WORDS FROM OUR CLIENT

“Hala is extremely detail oriented, thinks of things way before we even would or did, kept a specific task list and followed through on these items with intensity. She always made us feel as though she had no other clients but us. And she was always available and attentive.”
