10TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BOOK LOVER’S BALL

THE STORY

The 10th anniversary of The Book Lover’s Ball was celebrated in the revitalized Toronto Reference Library for the first time ever. As guests entered the beautifully lit atrium of the Toronto Reference Library, the focal point of the room was a three-storey projection screen suspended above the main stage and over the balconies featuring stunning images from the Library’s Special Collections.

After the reception, guests enjoyed dinner in the stacks with notable authors. Each dining area was decorated to correspond to a book genre (Fantasy, Mystery and Romance) and hosted by iconic characters. The After-Dark party featured literary-themed activities including author speed scrabble, literary portraits and a special tour of the Library’s Arthur Conan Doyle Room hosted by actors playing Dr. Watson and Sherlock Holmes.

Everyone had a ball.
