UNICEF CANADA UNGA! LIVE 2020

THE STORY

UNICEF Canada hosted a two-day virtual conference that brought together donors, corporate partners and key influencers from around the world.

In conjunction with this year’s 75th annual United Nations General Assembly, UNICEF Canada virtually brought New York City (originally the conference host city) to participants for this UNGA Live! 2020 event for a unique opportunity to learn about UNICEF’s global impact, to network with international speakers and influencers and to dig deeper into the power of advocating for children.

Hala Events produced this live two-day Zoom conference, hosted by Susanne Fox from Calgary, Alberta, that included: a warm welcome from Her Excellency Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, Former Consul General for Canada, and UNICEF Executive Board Member, Louise Blais from New York City; an engaging discussion with The Honourable Karina Gould, Minister of International Development and Member of Parliament from Burlington, Ontario; Interactive Field Visits and Presenters from UNICEF Bolivia, Ireland and Switzerland; and break out virtual rooms with moderated group discussions.

We also brought the Big Apple to participants with an exclusive virtual tour of the Guggenheim Museum for members of Women UNLimited; a virtual lunch-time walk through Central Park; and a virtual cocktail hour at The Met!
