ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM
ROM CENTENNIAL BALL
THE STORY
The ROM’s Centennial Ball was a stunning and exclusive affair, welcoming 600 guests the opportunity to experience the Museum like never before. Upon arrival, attendees were treated to an exterior light animation that turned the exterior façade of the iconic building into a kaleidoscope of beautiful colours and patterns.
Inside, guests were guided towards the dimly-lit Spirit House room, where a light beam-art installation served as a portal to the evening. As the guests emerged from the Spirit House, they were mesmerized by an artistic 3D kaleidoscopic visual evolution of eight iconic artifacts projected on the massive walls of the Museum.
Following a special toast from Ontario Premier, Kathleen Wynne, guests were led by exquisitely-costumed escorts for a series of private dinners in some of the building’s most intimate and iconic spaces. The celebrations continued afterwards with music, dancing and a special blended performance by a DJ and classical musicians accompanied by beautiful sound generated visual projections.
It was a magical evening worthy of this momentous occasion.
