RBC INNOVATORS BALL

THE STORY

The Ontario Science Centre’s RBC Innovators Ball is the foremost fundraising event supporting curiosity, innovation and science learning in Canada. It brings together creative minds and key influencers to share ideas, inspire new perspectives and reshape our idea of what is possible.

The 2022 RBC Innovators Ball brought together community partners, leaders and creative minds including hosts Dan Riskin, scientist, author and TV personality and Walter Stoddard, Science Centre researcher-programmer, Cylita Guy, Toronto bat scientist and children’s book author, and Julie Lynn Wong, physician-scientist who uses 3D printing to deliver health-care solutions to outer space.

The event featured fun and engaging activations including: an art wall featuring works of very talented artists, incredible robots including Spot welcoming guests by the entrance, IBM’s Pepper interacting with guests and Stella challenging guests in an obstacle course.  Other activations included Connected’s Light Tunnel inviting guests to strike a pose in the futuristic photobooth, Ontario Science Centre Hosts engaging with guests for a fun puzzle challenge at their booth, and The Van de Graaff photo opp.

Proceeds from the event support Access Science, a program which provides hands-on, curriculum-based programming to students in Ontario at no cost to their families or schools.
