THE STORY
The Cathay Ball is an annual celebration to raise awareness about the importance of moving past barriers to bring more care and support to those in need.
Hosted by Mon Sheong Foundation, the 2021 gala was a hybrid event and Hala Events applied our virtual expertise to create a 2D virtual environment for the Cathay Ball 2021 “Caring Beyond Boundaries” that attracted Canada’s business leaders, philanthropists and influencers.
Guests were welcomed in the virtual theatre lobby where they made their way to engaging activities including the Fun “Touch of Love” Game and Photo Booth. The lobby featured a sponsors gallery and information on how guests could donate and support programs & services to care for the elderly & nurture the young. Guest then made their way into the theatre where they were entertained and viewed the in-person Gala Celebration broadcast from Chinese Cultural Centre.
Committed to care for the elderly and nurture the young, Mon Sheong Foundation provides programs and services to the elderly and to the young in response to the needs of Canada’s culturally diverse communities.
