OXFAM TRAILWALKER
THE STORY
hala inc. launched the North American debut of Oxfam Trailwalker, one of the greatest fundraising team endurance events held around the world, just north of Toronto, along the Ganaraska Trail. Teams of four hiked a gruelling 100 km over 48 hours.
This logistically complex event required a six day installation and on-site management of over 25 suppliers for the set-up and tear-down of the race. In addition, hala inc. had to recruit, train and manage hundreds of volunteers that were strategically situated at 9 checkpoints along the 100km route. A comprehensive risk management plan was prepared that required over 40 medical staff for the duration of the event.
